Toddler-hood is a time when the rubber meets the road for many parents. Suddenly we have a little person on our hands with a powerful will, poor impulse control and an avalanche of strong feelings. Our toddlers can push us to our limits and cause us to wonder at how to do this parent thing.
Using tools drawn from respectful parenting approaches like RIE® and Hand in Hand Parenting, this workshop will help you understand what your toddler is experiencing, how his or her brain works, and what she or he is developmentally capable of in this tumultuous and tender time.
It will also offer you tools to address the following:
-Setting firm but respectful limits
-Helping your toddler offload big feelings
-Supporting yourself during these intense years.
In addition, you will learn how to lighten your load through laughter and play.
-While virtual we kindly ask that you arrange care for your little one, so you get as much as possible out of this wonderful class.
-Facilitators are professionals who may have their own private practice. They may use their discretion to determine whether an additional fee is needed when their expertise is solicited outside of class.
