It also features a blend of carbohydrates, protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals to support normal growth and development. Goat’s milk is known for its ability to support efficient and easy digestion because of its unique protein composition. Unlike other formulas, our formula does not contain hexane extracted oils, palm olein oil or palm kernel oil which can negatively impact digestion, or soybean oil. We are confident that our new Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula with DHA and ARA provides parents with a better goat milk formula option!
Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula with DHA and ARA is intended for ages 1-year and older or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Supports Digestive and Immune Health
While cow’s milk formulas have been used and recommended for decades for children, research indicates that goat’s milk may support gentler and more efficient digestion when compared to cow’s milk. This is attributed to the structure of the protein in goat’s milk.
The amount of protein found within goat’s milk is comparable to cow’s milk, but the structure of the proteins is different between the two. Goat’s milk protein (compared to cow’s milk protein) offers more A2 beta casein, less alpha-s1 casein, and a greater amount of a type of B-lactoglobulin also helping with digestibility. These aspects of goat’s milk are why many believe that goat’s milk is related to easier digestion compared to cow’s milk.
Goat’s milk also contains oligosaccharides, which are thought to provide numerous benefits, including serving as prebiotics. Prebiotics help support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut, which helps support the digestive and immune systems. Some research shows that oligosaccharides in goat's milk-based formulas have anti-infection properties.
If your child is experiencing symptoms like abdominal discomfort, bloating, colic, constipation, diarrhea, spit-up, vomiting, reflux, skin inflammation, rash, or eczema, talk to your child’s healthcare provider to determine if Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula with DHA and ARA or any other formulas in the Baby’s Only® product line may help.
Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula with DHA and ARA has a slightly sweet taste with a hint of vanilla, a creamy consistency, and a great tasting flavor like that of the other Baby’s Only® dairy-based formulas. Many report that Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula with DHA and ARA does not have the distinct “goaty,” grassy, and earthy flavor that is found in other goat milk products. We think this is a huge advantage – especially for little ones who are sensitive to flavor changes!
A Better Start...For Life™
Parents should be aware that Nature's One does not use objectionable ingredients like organic corn syrup (also called glucose syrup), palm olein oil, hexane processed DHA, or DHA derived from environmentally unfriendly sources such as fish. Nature’s One strives to use only high-quality ingredients as part of our strict Purity Pledge.
Note: We analyze each batch of formula knowing the nutrient composition of organic ingredients may change due to seasonal and growing conditions. This can result in a minor change to the values shown on the label’s Nutrition Fact Panel.
Allergies and Intolerances
Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula with DHA and ARA is a nutritious alternative for those who wish to avoid formulas made with cow’s milk ingredients. Unlike other goat’s milk formulas on the market, Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula does not include added lactose, which is often sourced from cow’s milk (there is, however, some naturally occurring lactose from goat’s milk in our formula). It can be used for children with food allergies, intolerances, or sensitivities to soy, wheat, gluten, peanut, tree nut, sesame, fish, shellfish, and corn proteins.
*Important: Do not use for children with lactose intolerance or for children with food allergies or intolerances to cow’s milk or goat’s milk. Do not use for children with the rare disorder galactosemia. Instead, Baby’s Only® Organic Plant Based Pea Protein Toddler Formula may be a fit.
A Superior Source of DHA
An organic source, no harsh chemical solvents, and better absorption? That’s our Baby’s Only® DHA! Because DHA plays a role in brain and eye development, choosing one that is free of pesticides, herbicides and certified organic is important. That is why we innovated organic DHA and are the only company in the world offering it in any formula.
Baby’s Only® Goat Milk Toddler Formula with DHA and ARA has the added benefit of featuring a unique, pure source of DHA and ARA unlike other formulas on the market. The DHA and ARA within the formula comes from organic egg lecithin, which is naturally derived from the egg yolks of eggs laid by organic hens. Egg sources of DHA offer DHA in its phospholipid form. This form of DHA is widely studied and understood to be more easily absorbed and offers greater bioavailability when compared to other sources of DHA and ARA in triglyceride form. DHA and ARA in their triglyceride form comes from algal and fungal sources and these sources are processed with harsh chemical solvents like hexane. Because of our commitment to purity in nutrition, we do not use these forms of DHA and ARA and this sets Baby’s Only® above other formulas.

Why does the packaging say "Toddler Formula" from http://newbornclasses.blogspot.com/2010/08/babys-only-organic-formula-for-newborns.html :
After many inquiries into whether or not Baby's Only Organic's Toddlers formula was safe for a newborn, I sent an official query to Baby's Only. Here is the response.
Many thanks for your recent inquiry and also your interest in our Baby’s Only Organic® formulas. Regarding the use of our Baby’s Only Organic® formulas during infancy, similar to other commercially available infant formulas, our Baby’s Only Organic® formulas provide the correct balance of proteins, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals needed to support normal growth and development of full term, healthy infants. No extra dilution is needed. Nothing needs to be added to make the formula more “complete” when prepared according to label instructions. It is because of our strong position on breastfeeding that we prefer to maintain a “toddler” status, thereby not encouraging mothers to use our product when breast milk is available. Thus, we state that “Baby’s Only Organic® is not intended for infants under 1-year of age unless specified by a healthcare professional.”
However, we also recognize that long term breast feeding or exclusive breastfeeding is not feasible for every mother. There are many fine and very personal reasons, such as you mentioned, that may necessitate the use of a formula. In those cases, we are happy to provide an alternative. Therefore, we formulated all of Baby’s Only Organic® formulas to provide the same nutrition as popular infant formulas. Baby’s Only Organic® formulas meet the nutritional composition requirements of the Infant Formula Act and the Academy of Pediatrics’ guidelines on nutritional content for an infant formula.
The U.S Infant Formula Act requirements and also the Academy of Pediatrics guidelines on nutrient composition of an infant formula specify ranges for most nutrients including vitamins and minerals. As noted previously, Baby’s Only Organic® formulas all meet the requirements. You will note in our comparison charts, shown be clicking on the links below, that all infant formulas are similar in overall nutrient composition because of these requirement and guidelines. The differences in formulas are mainly based on the type and source of ingredients. As you know, we take great pride in our organic ingredients.
