If we move forward with a "business as usual" attitude and participate in all the holiday festivities, pageantry and commercialism, are we discounting the anxiety that many in our community are currently feeling? One of the first things I do when planning a trip is scope out the most interesting neighborhoods. It's definitely a must do on my list to soak in some of the "local flavor".  I don't know about you but checking out local restaurants and/or boutiques is a big priority for me.
