Birthing Liberation Live: An Evening with Sabia Wade, The Black Doula
Meet & Greet • Book Signing • Fundraiser

Join us for a transformative evening celebrating Birthing Liberation: How Reproductive Justice Will Set Us Free with Sabia Wade, renowned radical doula, educator, and visionary voice for birth equity. This special meet and greet, book signing, and fundraiser invites our community into conversation, connection, and collective uplift.

In Birthing Liberation, Sabia Wade presents reproductive justice as a powerful pathway to equity and the birthplace of liberation. With clarity, compassion, and radical honesty, Sabia illuminates how systemic issues, such as access to health care, housing, transportation, and nutrition all intersect with personal trauma. She shows how healing on both personal and structural levels can move us closer to collective liberation in all aspects of life. Feel free to check out Sabia talking about Birthing Liberation in this video.

At the heart of Birthing Liberation is a profound truth:
For all of us to experience equity, from safe childbirth and thriving families, to secure communities and long-term opportunity, we must each pursue and embody liberation.

Through storytelling, reflection, and grounded expertise, Sabia charts a path toward social and systemic change that begins in the birthing world and extends far beyond it.

This event is more than a book signing. It’s an invitation to join a movement. Come connect, learn, and support meaningful work that uplifts reproductive justice and collective freedom. You can purchase your book before the event here, or purchase 'Birthing Liberation' at the book signing event.

This event is sliding scale! There is a suggested donation of $25 per adult which goes directly to Natural Resources's Room to Grow Membership fundraiser. This fundraiser will allow more people to access the classes and offerings we have at Natural Resources.

  • No one will be turned away due to a lack of funds. If you have questions or would like to apply for a scholarship, please contact Lauren Brown at admin@naturalresources-sf.com
