Physical Description: The lovey is a square of organic knit fabric with rounded corners and trim that goes all the way around. One side has a row of the fruits from the book The Very Hungry Caterpillar (apple, pear, plum, strawberry, orange) with the words "tiny and very hungry" on a white background. The reverse side has an all-over print of the fruits, with the caterpillar poking out of some of the fruits. The print recreates the effect of the original hand-painted and layered paper collage Carle used to create his illustrations. The lovey is attached with a strip of fabric that secures with a snap, to a wooden maple ring.
