Alice Knowlton is a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, and somatic practitioner with over ten years of experience supporting individuals, families, groups, and communities. In her private practice, she blends talk therapy and body-based approaches to help clients navigate challenges, connect with their inner resources, and create lasting change. Her work recently expanded into birthwork after her twin sister asked her to be her doula—a request that opened her eyes to the profound joys, challenges, and complexities of birth. Now in ongoing training as a birth doula, she is passionate about advocating for babies, parents, families, and the birthworkers who serve them, including doulas, midwives, and other perinatal and postpartum professionals. In addition to facilitating a Doula Processing Support Group, she offers somatic integration sessions for birthworkers needing to process overwhelming or traumatic birth experiences—creating space for both celebration and healing in the often life-altering work of supporting and witnessing birth.
