Cecilia Platt is a mom and a postpartum doula in San Francisco. Originally from Sonora, Mexico, she moved to the Bay Area in 2012. She's been working with babies and families for 20 years, starting out as an infant nanny. In 2016, she dove into the world of pregnancy and childbirth through a Prenatal Yoga TT. Inspired by this, she pursued training as both a birth doula and a postpartum doula, slowly starting her doula journey while also working as a Family Assistant. Cecilia is currently part of the postpartum doula team at Golden Gate Doula Associates and recently finished her second postpartum doula training at Natural Resources.
Muneeza Patel is a birth and postpartum doula. "My journey to supporting parents through their birth and postpartum experiences has been unconventional. With several years spent in management consulting at McKinsey & Co and leadership roles at health-tech startups, I have always been drawn to the maternal health space. In early 2024, I transitioned to becoming a doula, aiming to offer holistic support to parents during this pivotal time. My practice integrates the three core elements of care I believe are paramount: rest, body work, and good nutrition. In addition to that, I also incorporate exercises to support the transition back to work. By facilitating the Natural Resources doula circle, I hope to support fellow doulas on their own professional paths, and foster a community where we can exchange insights and enhance our collective knowledge for the well-being of the families we serve."
