    Surviving Modern Motherhood is a therapy group created for Moms of young children who are navigating the nonstop demands of early parenthood. 

    Whether it’s sleepless nights, toddler meltdowns, or the invisible mental load, this group offers a place to exhale, feel seen, and connect with others who truly understand.

    This is a supportive, confidential space for Moms in the thick of the early years—a place to talk honestly about the emotional realities of parenting young children, from identity shifts and burnout to the messy magic of raising little humans.

    Led by maternal mental health therapist (and fellow mom) Christina Klein, LMFT, PMH-C, the group offers:

    •  A judgment-free space to be honest and feel understood 
    • Support for managing stress, setting boundaries, and coping with overwhelm
    • Tools to reconnect with an identity outside of motherhood 
    • Community, compassion, and yes, even laughter.
    • If you’re craving connection, compassion, and real-life strategies to get through the early years of motherhood - this group is for you.

     

    What you will walk away with:
    1. Tools to manage stress and overwhelm in daily parenting life
    2. Support in reconnecting with your identity beyond motherhood
    3. A sense of community and connection with other moms who get it

    Many groups continue meeting weekly well beyond the six weeks and count the Mamas in their cohort as their most trusted companions in this wild journey of parenting and life.

    90 minute sessions make space for deep connection and discussion which is essential for a spacious, welcoming, naturally occurring connective group vibe.

    Week 1: Welcome to the Chaos

    Normalize the overwhelm. Share your story. Connect with others in the trenches.

    Week 2: The Invisible Load of Littles

    Name the mental tabs. Lighten the load. Explore what you can let go of.

    Week 3: Mom Rage, Guilt & Other Taboo Feelings

    Talk about what no one talks about. Find tools for calm and compassion. 

    Week 4: Identity After Baby

    Who were you before? Who are you becoming? Reconnect with the non-mom parts of you.

    Week 5: The Myth of the Perfect Mom

    Challenge the “shoulds.” Redefine what a good mom looks like to you.

    Week 6: Reclaiming Joy

    Reflect, celebrate, and take what you’ve learned into the messy, magical everyday.

    Christina Klein, LMFT, PMH-C, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with advanced training and certification in perinatal mental health. She supports mothers through the many emotional and mental challenges that come with modern motherhood—whether during pregnancy, postpartum, or in the daily juggle of parenting, identity, and work-life demands. Christina works with clients navigating overwhelm, burnout, and the invisible weight of the mental load, helping them reconnect with themselves and find strategies that truly support their well-being. As a mother of two young boys herself, Christina brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work. She understands how easy it can be to feel isolated, stretched thin, or not quite like yourself. Her clients often come to her feeling anxious, on edge, or unsure whether what they’re experiencing is “normal” or something more like postpartum anxiety or depression. Her message is clear: you don’t have to figure it out alone. Christina’s approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. She creates a space where mothers can be honest without judgment and focus on their needs - whether that means processing difficult emotions, shifting unhelpful patterns, or rediscovering a sense of self beyond motherhood. Clinically, Christina integrates psychodynamic, attachment-based, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), ACT, and EMDR approaches, all within a client-centered, strengths-based framework. She also embraces a matricentric lens, which centers the voices and needs of mothers in the therapeutic process and honors the complexity of motherhood.
