Education & Program Engagement Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Education & Program Engagement Manager to join our team. This key role is responsible for the efficient management of all aspects of our educational and community programs, from scheduling and logistics to revenue generation and participant experience.

Position Overview:  

We're seeking a thoughtful and strategic Education & Program Engagement Manager to strategically plan, develop, and oversee our educational and community programs. This key role is responsible for both the efficient management of all operational aspects and the strategic direction of our educational and community programs. You will own the program lifecycle from ideation and marketing to financial management (P&L accountability), ensuring impactful, mission-aligned programming while maintaining exceptional participant experiences.

Ideal Candidate:  

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organizational, and data analysis skills. Proficiency with software platforms and an ability to quickly learn new systems are essential. They should be comfortable working with budgets, setting measurable goals, and driving performance metrics. A solution-oriented mindset is key, along with the ability to adapt to changes or challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Management  & Developement

  • Strategically develop, optimize, and schedule all educational programs and classes  
  •  Manage class booking platform, calendars, and facility resources efficiently
  • Ideate new offerings in collaboration with the Executive Director, facilitators, and stakeholders
  • Stay informed on perinatal trends and incorporate community feedback to improve programming
  • Collect and analyze participant data to drive program improvements

2. Financial Management  

  •  Own P&L for all programs and services, set revenue targets, and track progress  
  •  Manage program budgets and identify opportunities to optimize high-demand offerings
  •  Develop strategies to increase enrollment and revenue while maintaining program quality

3. Participant Experience & Marketing

  • Ensure exceptional customer service throughout the participant journey  
  • Develop effective marketing strategies to drive enrollment, craft, and schedule marketing emails
  • Handle inquiries, registration issues, and participant feedback
  • Create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all participants

4. Facilitator & Staff Leadership  

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage facilitators, ensuring high-quality instruction Manage facilitator relationships, ensuring alignment with program goals and quality standards.  
  • Collaborate on curriculum evaluation, improvements, and the development of new content based on community input and trends.  
  • Ensure cultural competency and alignment with organizational goals

5. Administrative

  • Maintain accurate program records and ensure physical environment meets standards  
  • Assist with on-site events and order/maintain necessary supplies and materials 
  • Make website updates as needed. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years managing adult educational or professional training programs
  • Proven strategic planning, budgeting, and P&L management experience
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Experience with, and a passion for, email marketing
  • Knowledge of or experience in the perinatal community is a plus

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires working on-site up to 5 days/week at the Valencia Street location in San Francisco.
  • Periodic evenings and weekends required to support events and programs, or to provide backup support for other team members.
