Description:
Come and join us for a soulful evening dedicated to the heart of the Brazilian Doula community. This gathering offers a unique space for us to weave together our shared experiences and find deeper connection through the sacred work we perform. Whether you are just discovering your calling or have been a seasoned practitioner for many years, your voice and your history are vital to our circle.
What to Bring: -
There is nothing you need to bring but yourself. As we sit together, we will exchange stories and honor the traditions that ground us, nourishing our own spirits with the same devotion we offer the families we serve. Lea Azevedo: I started working with newborn care and labor support when I was 16 years old serving my local community in Brazil. I grew up in a family that deeply believed in serving others. I studied to be a Physical Education and Special Education teacher and worked for many years in the field, later I went to nursing school. I took a break from work while having my own children but while raising them I got a Montessori and a CPST (Child Passenger Safety Technician) certification and finally I landed in birth work.
